We visited Mao Zedong's home, a very humble building with several rooms that the family shared with a neighbour. The place was not big. It came with several rooms including a kitchen and a cow barn. This was the place where Mao started his early days of work.
Near his home was the square where his bronze statue stood. Just on the Friday morning, we saw several groups, including official units as well as the tourists presented the flower wreath to the ex-chairman.
Mao's communist ideology was still prominently written/ displayed in buildings in this area of the country.
